Youth Training & Volunteering

We believe in equipping our young people with the skills they need to become leaders in the future, as well as supporting our current leaders by providing training and support to help them provide an excellent experience for all our children and young people.

All of our Young People have the opportunity to take part in the Millennium Volunteers Scheme and many of them are also completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award, of which volunteering is a big part.

Our Young People can regularly be found serving at events or pouring tea at church services. They also help with organisations for younger children.

For our leaders, we host a biannual team night with focuses on celebrating success, training and development.

This area is currently being updated to meet the commitments and delivery methods set out in our Youth and Children's Strategy. This update has been delayed due to Covid 19. However, we endeavour to update it as soon as possible.

The Millennium Volunteer programme is a youth awarding programme funded by the Education Authority for NI with the support of the Department of Education and is managed by Volunteer Now.

We recognise the importance our young people volunteering with us plays in our work and are really excited to be able to offer recognition for that.

Any young person aged 14-24 can be a part of the scheme.

If you would like to register or would like more information, please contact Andrew.
