Youth Training & Volunteering

We believe in equipping our young people with the skills they need to become leaders in the future, as well as supporting our current leaders by providing training and support to help them provide an excellent experience for all our children and young people.

All of our Young People have the opportunity to serve in various areas of church life throughout the year and can regularly be found serving at events or pouring tea at church services. They also help with organisations for younger children. Many of our young people are also completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award, of which volunteering is a big part.

Following the launch of our Youth and Children's Strategy in September 2022 we are really excited to launch two new programmes for training and development of our young leaders aged 18-25 and those in year 10-14.

For our other leaders, we host a biannual team night with focuses on celebrating success, training and development. We also have a mentoring programme for leaders that helps the develop their leadership skills and offers pastoral support them if requested.

The Young Leaders' Programme is for young leaders aged 18-25 currently serving in our organisations who would like to develop their leadership skills.

To apply leaders must be engaged in a leadership capacity with one of our organisations and the organisation must be willing to support them throughout the programme.
